During the liturgy there will be a blessing of students and school children on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Translators. A special encyclical from the Catholicos of All Armenians on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the publication of the first printed bible Armenian will be read in all Armenian Churches including St. Yeghiche. At 1:30pm, there will be a wine and snacks reception at the Vicarage in Iverna Gardens especially for young people, please join us!   Link to calendar       Fundraising Gala Dinner - PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE   Fundraising Gala Dinner for the restoration of Our Lord Jesus Christ's Tomb in the Holy Sepulchre Church, Jerusalem. Due to a clash with another event in the community, the date has been changed to Friday 11th November 2016.   Link to calendar       Video: The Hymn of the Holy Translators   Wikipedia: The Holy Translators (Armenian: Surb Targmanichk) is a group of literary figures, and saints of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who founded the Armenian alphabet, translated the Bible, and started a movement of writing and translating important works into Armenian language.   The Holy Translators are: -St. Mesrop Mashtots -St. Sahak Partev -Moses of Chorene -Yeghishe   The translation of the Bible was finished by the Holy Translators in 425.
