On 12th of August, the Armenian Church celebrated the feast of the Assumption of Saint Mary (Վերափոխումն Սրբոհւոյ Աստուածածնի), the Mother of God , with the traditional Armenian rite of the Blessing of the grapes (Խաղողօրհնեք).
The Gevorkian Theological Academy’s leadership started a new programme to send out deacons in the last year of their studies to experience pastoral life in different parishes and dioceses.
It is the second year that senior students of the Gevorkian Theological Academy are visiting UK communities. This year, our diocese was blessed to have deacons Gevorg Avetisyan and David Hunanyan.
