Salon Mashup evaluation - Armenian Institute

As you know, Salon Mashup took place in the basement tunnels of Shoreditch Town Hall last month. The event was a tremendous success with over 500 people attending the exhibition and performances over four days. We hope you were able to attend and enjoyed the experience, and would appreciate your feedback.

You can either reply by email to the few questions listed below, or if you wish to comment anonymously please complete the attached Evaluation Form and post it to the Armenian Institute.

We hope to hold more Salon Mashups in future and your feedback helps us evaluate the event so we can learn from experience.

Thank you for your assistance.

With best wishes

Armenian Institute

Did you visit Salon Mashup to attend the exhibition or performances or both? Both
What did you like or find the most interesting about your visit? Definitely the                         devised theatre pieces but that is because I am drawn to it! I enjoyed everything else too!

How could we have improved on the event? Extending it! Did you find the performances and exhibition relevant to the theme of Displacement and Regeneration? I fail my language as I am not fluent, therefore I am not able to make a fare comment. I am only able to voice my own experience of the loss and rebuilding ones life, there again I was too young to take an informed mental note! I know however that I was from a very large family. And Missed Them All Very Much after our departure! The promotion of IT has made it possible to reconnect with severed family connections.

How can we best update you on future events - by post, e-mail announcement, Facebook, Twitter or visiting our website? By email please!

Do you have any suggestions for any future events or activities? I have to think about this a little longer... What ever is introduced to date has been a pleasure to participate in!

Is there anything further that you would like to add? Yes, maybe if some of the same can be shown further a field from London. Not forgetting that the first Armenian Church in England was on the backs of pioneering families of the textile trade in Manchester.

Also, since the arrival of our new Bishop a new community has sprung from meager beginnings, and the community is going from strength to strength.

Most of the community have had the bad fortune to be involved in the earthquake of 1988 in Armenia, and yet they have a strong drive to focus on their Armenianness and traditions. Some outreach work would not go a miss, maybe? Thank you for giving me the opportunity to voice my thoughts. I do not underestimate the enormity of my request.
