Dear Friends

1. We are delighted that over 80 Labour MPs have signed EDM 357 on the Armenian

Genocide. We urgently appeal to the remaining eligible 102 of you to help increase the total number from the present 161 names, before the EDMs "fall" in two weeks time

2. We should also like to invite you to an unveiling of the Monument to the Armenian Genocide in the Temple of Peace, King Edward vii Ave, Cathays Park, Cardiff at 1.00 p.m. on Saturday the 3rd November. Armenians and people of goodwill will travel from across the country for the occasion. We understand that this will be the first public Genocide Monument in the UK; we hope that it will become a powerful symbol to remember all genocides

The United Nations Association Wales has kindly given permission for the Monument to be erected. The participants include the Armenian Bishop of Great Britain, (Bishop Nathan), and Dr Gabrielyan, the Armenian Ambassador. Welsh and Armenian Choirs, instrumentalists and folk dancers will also participate, and a buffet will be provided

The names of all those MPs who have recognised the Genocide by signing EDM 357 will be honoured

Yours sincerely,

Eilian Williams
