Today's Action for the Armenian Genocide Vote on Wednesday

TODAY'S ACTION: WRITE TO MEMBERS OF CONGRESS!

The vote for the Armenian Genocide resolution in the House Foreign Affairs Committee is this Wednesday, Oct. 10th. Members of Congress take note when they receive handwritten letters. Please write letters to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, Tom Lantos. Because of the strong opposition to the resolution, it is very important that we continue to tell Rep. Pelosi how much we appreciate her strong support, and that we also urge Rep. Lantos to support the resolution.

Step 1. Handwrite a letter to Rep. Pelosi, even if you don't live in her district:
- Express your sincere appreciation for Speaker Pelosi's many years of strong support for Armenian Genocide recognition
- Encourage Speaker Pelosi to continue her support as the House Foreign Affairs Committee considers the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.106)
- Urge Speaker Pelosi to schedule a full House vote on the Armenian Genocide Resolution as soon as possible
- Include your name and address on the letter

Step 2. Hand-write a letter to Rep. Tom Lantos:
- Express your appreciation to Chairman Lantos for scheduling the Armenian Genocide Resolution (H.Res.106) for a vote in the Foreign Affairs Committee
- Urge Chairman Lantos to support the Armenian Genocide Resolution and vote to pass it without any amendments
- Include your name and address on the letter

Step 3: After taking these actions, please urge your friends to do the same.

This is the best chance we have had in years to have Congress officially recognize the Armenian Genocide. Let's all do everything we can to ensure that this resolution passes. Please act today.
