This is a unique exhibition for Armenians interested in their heritage that also contains new material.

Four guests are coming from Yerevan with the exhibits:

Edik Ghabuzyan, Head of the Department of Creating and Keeping Armenian fonts of National Book Chamber;
Gagik Khachatryan, Senior specialist of the Department of Culture Relations State Programs, Culture Relations, Education and Science Division of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia
Nerses Ter-Vardanyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and
Angella Poghosova, a translator, a lecturer of English of the Educational Center 'ALGO'.
There has been a joint venture between Carolyn Puzzovia in Lincoln and Edik Ghabuzian in Yerevan to create Pomegranate fonts, named after one of the national symbols of Armenia.
The intention of these fonts is to make a range of readable and beautiful OpenType fonts which incorporate both Latin and Armenian characters.available for both PC and Mac users.
All this work honours the memory of the Saint Mashtots, the Armenian cleric who devised the unique alphabet for the people of Armenia in 405AD - over 1,600 years ago - a vital development for Armenian cultural identity.
To request tickets for the opening event, email cpuzzovia@lincoln.ac.uk or phone 01522 895213
Why not make weekend of it, Lincoln is of historical and religious significance.
You can also go to the khatchkar in Hucknall which is fairly close, off the M1.
