A concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the
Armenian Genocide.
The great violinist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman will
lead the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

One of Bach’s best-loved works, the Double Concerto for

two violins, opens this evening’s programme in a concert
commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian
Genocide.
Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 expresses profound emotions
both poignant and noble, performed by the estimable Pinchas
Zukerman, who also leads the Orchestra tonight as conductor.
Brahms lived his life as an intense perfectionist and spent at

Symphony. The result was grand work of the finest quality,
a triumphant masterpiece worthy of ending tonight’s concert,
which recognises the courage and endurance of the Armenian people.
