The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross
The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (the Feast of Khachveratz) is the last one of the five cardinal feasts or Daghavars.
It commemorates the emancipation of the Cross of Christ from Persia and elevation of it on Calvary in Jerusalem.
This year's feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross takes place Sunday, 17th of September. Please see the Upcoming Events section of the newsletter for more details.
Birthday Anniversary of His Holiness KAREKIN II
On August 21st, His Grace Bishop Hovakim Manukyan has sent a letter to His Holiness KAREKIN II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians to congratulate him on His 66th birthday on behalf of the faithful of the diocese of the Armenian Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
