In just four weeks, our seventh Annual Lecture will take place with award winning writer and broadcaster, Richard Holloway. In this lecture Richard will explore “The Politics of Forgiveness”, and will be joined by Shadow Attorney General, Shami Chakrabarti who will be chairing the event.
 
Richard Holloway is the author of thirty books. His book On Forgiveness was described by author Philip Pullman as “Full of human wisdom....a psychologically absorbing approach to a very important subject". In this lecture, Richard will explore forgiveness on a social and political level, and will ask whether a culture that cannot practice forgiveness breeds people who cannot change and grow.

Shadow Attorney General and member of the House of Lords, Shami Chakrabarti will be chairing the evening. She is Chancellor of the University of Essex, Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Manchester as well as being an Honorary Fellow of Mansfield College, Oxford. Her upcoming book, Of Women, will be published in Autumn 2017.
