The citizens of Armenia are set to face a fresh brutal assault by a desperate regime clinging to graft and power. While many diasporan Armenians have been patiently tolerating the current situation, hoping for change and a better future, Serj Sargsyan and his regime have crafted a new scheme to hold on to power for yet another 10 years.
If the previous decade of corrupt lawless rule emptied our nation of 400,000 citizens, buried our country in billions of dollars of debt, and relinquished a strategic swathe of Artsakh, one can only imagine the devastation yet to visit Armenia, devastation not mere material, but of the whole fabric of who we are. We did not survive Genocide to crown an eternal tyrant. We cannot tolerate or survive the loss of what binds us together as a nation: respect for the voice of every last one of us. Armenia Shall Not Be a Dictatorship.
