'PRIMATE’S FIRST BADARAK AS A BISHOP AND THE SUBSEQUENT RECEPTION'

For the attention of all Armenians Everywhere!

The Very Revd Dr. Vahan Hovhanessian, Primate, will celebrate his first Divine Liturgy, Badarak as a bishop (following the ordination ceremonies in Etchmiadzin) on Sunday, 20th November. The first episcopal Badarak of the Primate will be celebrated in St. Yeghiche Church, London, with the participation of Armenians from all over the UK and Ireland. All are encouraged to join in and share this joyful day with the Primate.

There will be no invitations for the Badarak. All are welcome. Meanwhile, at their meeting on Sunday, 11th September and per their unanimous agreement, the chairmen of the Armenian Church councils, board of wardens, mission parish councils, and Church Trusts, confirmed the same afternoon, Sunday, the 20th November, as the date of the reception in honour of the Primate’s ordination and first Badarak.

The reception will take place at the Shannon Hall in Copthorn Tara Hotel in Kensingon, London, 3:00-6:00pm. Among several interesting items, the programme will include a 10-minute video presentation of the actual ordination ceremonies in Holy Etchmiadzin. Admission to the aftefrnoon reception: £20 per person, which will partially defray the cost. Donations are also welcome, and will be acknowledged in a booklet distributed at the reception.
