We have been notified by the Armenian Embassy and our Primate, that a very important event is to take place in London on 28^th October 2015.

AN ECUMENICAL SERVICE COMMEMORATING THE HOLY MARTYRS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

will take place at

THE WESTMINSTER ABBEY

On 28^th OCTOBER 2015

The service is organised at the initiative and auspices of

H.E. Dr Armen Sarkissian 

Ambassador of Armenia to the Court of St. James’s and 

By the kind permission of the Dean and the Chapter of Westminster

 

The service will be presided over by 

His Holiness Karekin II, 

Supreme, Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians 

and 

The Right Reverend Justin Welby, 

The Archbishop of Canterbury 

 

It is expected that 

His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales

and His Excellency Serzh Sargsyan

The President of the Republic of Armenia

Will attend the Service

 

The Prime Minister, representatives of the Government, members of the House of Lords, Archbishops, MP’s, other dignitaries have also  been invited.
