BADARAK TO BE CELEBRATED IN CORNWALL
 
On Sunday, 4th September, a special Divine Liturgy will be celebrated near Penzance in Cornwall. Mrs. Georgiana Joseph, whose late husband Thomas was Armenian, has built a small Armenian chapel in her garden near Canonstown. The service will also be a hokehankist for her husband. Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, together with several deacons and friends of the church, will travel down to Cornwall to conduct the service. Afterwards, a buffet will be provided at the Methodist Church Hall in St. Erith.

VISITING CLERGY TO CELEBRATE BADARAK IN
ST. YEGHICHE CHURCH
 
In London, a visiting clergyman from Armenia, Bishop Daron Jerejian. His Grace will be celebrating the Divine Liturgy and preaching in St. Yeghiche Church. Bishop Daron Jerejian (baptismal name Jirair) was born on 11 July 1937 in Beirut, Lebanon. He received his primary education at the Sahakian and Abgarian School of Beirut. After completing his studies he entered the Seminary of the Great House of Cilicia in 1952

He was ordained to the diaconate in 1957 and in 1959 graduated from the Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He was the first foreign born student to graduate from the Theological Seminary which was re-established by the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Vasken I of Blessed Memory. He received the rank of Senior Archimandrite by Archbishop Shahe Ajemian in 1978 and in 1991 Father Daron was elected to serve as the Primate of Marseille and Vicar General of the Pontifical Legate.

In 1992 Father Daron was consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Vazken I. In August 2003 on the occasion of his 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, he was decorated with the order of “St. Nerses the Graceful” by the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II. Bishop Daron Jerejian retired in the year 2003 after 40 years of service to the Ar-menian Church. To read more about Bishop Daron, please click the button below.
 
Also this Sunday, Fr. Shnork will be celebrating the Divine Liturgy in St. Sarkis Church, and Fr. Nerses der Nersessian will be in Manchester conducting the service at Holy Trinity Church.
