Artsakh and Aid to Armenia Are Under Attack!
Help protect Artsakh and provide aid to Armenia.

On March 4, 2008, Azerbaijan attacked Artsakh in the worst cease-fire violation in over a decade! Two months before the attack, Azerbaijan’s President Aliyev told Armenians to live under Azeri rule or get out!

Despite this attack and continued threats to wage war against Armenians, President Bush wants to give military aid to Azerbaijan and cut economic assistance to Armenia by nearly 60%!

What You Can Do:
1) CALL Bay Area Congresswoman Barbara Lee, who sits on the important Foreign Operations Subcommittee, which will be voting on Foreign Aid to Armenia and Artsakh on July 16th. As a committee member, Rep. Lee has considerable influence to make a difference. YOUR call will help push back against the Bush Administration's desire to cut aid to Armenia and Artsakh, and militarily arm Azerbaijan.

- In your message:

- Urge the Congresswoman to continue to support a proper level of aid for Armenia

- Remind her that Armenia is a reliable and democratic ally

- Ask that aid to Armenia continue to be at least $70 million

- Urge her to provide $10 million in development aid to Nagorno Karabakh, to help rebuild that region, which has consistently held democratic elections.

- Also, the U.S. should end its outdated restrictions on aid to Nagorno Karabakh and contacts with Nagorno- Karabakh, to develop more open communication.

- If you are a constituent, request a written reply from the Congresswoman, and give your address.
