You are invited to meet the youngest Armenian artist with a solo show in a Bond Street Gallery, see his work and hear his views. Arshak Sarkissian will be in conversation with Nouritza Matossian who writes,

“Arshak Sarkissian is arguably the most accomplished and exciting young artist working in Yerevan today. He is already a master of fine drawing, painting and sculpture – brilliant, original, and with an emotional depth far beyond his years.”

Sarkissian has received the 2005 Armenian Presidential Honour of Fine Arts Gold Medal, he has designed stamps for the Armenian Post and painted interiors for Zvartnots Airport. He has exhibited internationally and was a favourite with curators at the OMI International Artists’ Residency in New York, 2008.

Arshak’s work will be on display and wine will be served. His one-man show opens at the Albemarle Gallery on 6 November.

Nouritza Matossian is author of Black Angel, A Life of Arshile Gorky.
