On November 21st the Toronto chapter of Armenian Renaissance held a conference on the new constitution set to be voted on December 6th.  Below is a transcript of the 4-hour conference.  The particularity of this conference was to delve into details of origins and content of the proposed constitution and expose concealed elements that would perpetuate oligarchic governance of Armenia.  The conference itself can be viewed at USTREAM.   It is in two parts, both found at that web site.  Viewers are asked to scroll to 20 minutes into part I for the start of the conference.  A YouTube version is being prepared, but it was deemed important to get this out now due to time sensitivity of events in Armenia this week. ....Read more >>
 
The EU-Turkey summit was far from the European Union’s finest hour. The conclusions of the summit on Sunday were weak and mark another worrying setback in Europe’s fight to tackle its refugee crisis.
