Beware of Machinations!

In a few short hours the National Assembly of Armenia (the parliament) will convene for a historic decision. Ostensibly it is to elect a new Prime Minister. Between now and then what machinations will be cooked by RPA (the Republican Party of Armenia) and its allies outside the confines of the parliament, we are not privy to. The RPA’s spokesperson Sharmazanov’s pronouncements are not encouraging and ex-President Kocharian’s remarks do not inspire good tidings. It seems the oligarchy will try to employ chicanery to the best of its abilities to prolong its presence.
Individuals, organizations, particularly in the Diaspora, are jumping the bandwagon. This phenomenon has only symbolic significance at present and minimal practical effect on actual evolution of events in Armenia. 
We profoundly respect the patriotic aspirations of all rank-and-file "Dashnak"s and their support for “People’s Choice”. We cannot say the same about the Armenia leadership, even at the expense of forsaking "national unity"; because, the track record undeniably shows that the concept of unity is “respected” only when ARF is in control through hegemony. ....Read more >>
 

Rally in Ottawa in Support of Democracy in Armenia

delegation of eighty people, concerned Armenians from Toronto, Montreal and elsewhere crossed hundreds of kilometers to meet in front of the lawn at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Ottawa on Sunday, April 29th, 2018. Local compatriots joined the gathering to express solidarity with the struggle of people in Armenia to establish democracy.
