Namus Project Newsletter

We are very excited to announce that through the generous support of individual donors, research and development in Armenia on the Namus Project was able to go ahead. Seta White (producer/actress) and Veronica Wigg (director) spent 4½ weeks working at Naregatsi Art Institute and The Armenian Centre for Contemporary Experimental Art (NPAK) in Yerevan. On the centenary of Alexander Shirvanzade's play Namus, a journey to discover a new life for this play in the 21st century began. Working alongside Armenian actors, a devised piece of theatre was developed entitled Namus: White, Red and Black and two performances given to full houses at both Naregatsi Art Institute and NPAK.

Please read the attached Newsletter which will tell you all about the work undertaken in Armenia alongside photographs of the performance. And to visit our updated webpage please access it via the Armenian Institute website under Ongoing Projects (http://www.armenianinstitute.org.uk/default.aspx?page=27387).
