FR. GAREGIN FINAL BADARAK IN THE UK: PARISH IN OXFORD
Despite his very busy schedule at the universities pursuing his doctoral degree in Biblical Studies during the past four years, Fr Gregin always made himself available to help in the pastoral ministry of the Diocese. One of his major contributions was the formation of the Mission Parish in Oxford, where he studied and researched for over two years or so. On Wednesday: 19 November 6:30pm was the time for Fr Garegin’s final Badarak in this parish in Pembroke College Chapel which was full of parishioners and guests including Professor Theo van Lint of the Programme of Armenian Studies in Oxford University. Presiding over the celebration was His Grace Bishop Vahan Hovhanessian, Primate. The service was followed by a fellowship hour in honor of Fr Garegin at the Mary Hyde Eccles room. Where Professor van Lint thanked Fr Garegin and congratulated him for his doctorate. This was followed by an emotional speech by the chairman of the Parish Council who at he end of his speech presented Fr Garegin with a gift as a souvenir from his parish.

CHRISTMAS BASKET DELIVERY FOR OUR ELDERLY AND HOUSEBOUND
Members of the Executive Committee of the London chapter of the Armenian Church Youth
Fellowship (ACYF) met last Wednesday, 26 November to discuss their various projects and
activities. Among the items of things to do was the updating of their list of elderly Armenians in
London in order to prepare for their yearly Christmas baskets delivery project. The Christmas
Baskets will contain traditional Christmas treats to be delivered to the elderly whose names are
registered at the Primate’s Office. This has become a beautiful annual tradition of our ACYF in
sharing the Festive cheers of Advent and Christmas with our loved ones. If someone you know
lives alone or cannot come to Church, please contact the Primate’s Office at 02081278364, or e-
mail ACYF@armenianchurch.co.uk, to give us the person’s contact info. Meanwhile, to support
this nice gesture by our youth, please send your donation, payable to the ‘Armenian Church Trust
UK’ posted to the Primate’s Office at 25 Cheniston Gardens, London W8 6TG.
PRIMATE’S APPEAL: HELP OUR CHURCH BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR
igned
With the beginning of Advent Season, His Grace Bp Vahan Hovhanessian, Primate, launched the
third Annual Primate’s Appeal. As in the previous two years, the Appeal is the one and only
fundraising campaign that the Primate’s Office does to raise funds desperately needed for the
various programmes of our Church in UK and Ireland (click here). Annual pilgrimages, the
Armenian Street Festival, Bible Study sessions, the Armenian Church Youth Fellowship (ACYF),
Mission Parish Outreach, Educational Ministry and the publications of this E-Newsletter and the
weekly Sunday bulletin are all funded by Armenian Church Trust UK, the financial arm of the
Primate’s Office. Please help us continue these and many other programmes by positively
responding to our Primate’s appeal. Send your donation payable to: The Armenian Church Trust,
to the Primate’s Office, c/o Hye Doon, 25 Cheniston Gardens, London W8 6TG. Click here for the
