Jan. 29: Turkish-Armenian Relations talk at SF Commonwealth Club‏

The Commonwealth Club of California will be hosting a lecture on Turkey and Armenia on Friday, January 29, 2010, featuring Steven West, Ph.D. of Turcology. Michael Pappas, Executive Director of the San Francisco Interfaith Council will serve as moderator.

Steven West, who taught Near Eastern languages and cultures at UCLA, will discuss Turkish-Armenian relations from ancient times to modern times. He posits that recent diplomatic developments and cross-cultural cooperation can lead to better futures for both countries.
