On April 24, 2010, Armenian Weekly editor Khatchig Mouradian arrived in Istanbul to give a lecture and attend the unprecedented Genocide commemoration events being held in the city. The next day, he flew to Ankara to take part in an academic conference on the Armenian Genocide and reparations. During an earlier trip to Turkey (in March 2010), Mouradian had interviewed Turkish President Gul and Foreign Minister Davutoglu in Ankara, as well as visited Kars and Ani. In this lecture--accompanied by a slide presentation of photographs--Mouradian will talk about his recent trips to Turkey within the context of the current political developments there.
