Alma Sax Quartet UK Tour

Scintillating Saxophones

Come and experience some really talented musicians on tour from Armenia.
A marvelous opportunity to see and hear some very talented musicians from
Yerevan, Armenia.
A long time ago, whilst visiting Yerevan, Rotarian Norman Blow met Professor
Alexandr Manukyan and was captivated by the quality of music produced by his
very talented saxophone students. The Professor travels widely and lectures
on this music genre in many countries.
Norman worked hard at trying to arrange for them to come over to England to
perform and with the help of Yerevan Rotary Club, and fellow Medway Sunlight
Rotarians Ann and Philip Livings it has finally come together!
The Alma Sax Quartet and the Alma Junior Sax Quartet are arriving in Medway
on the 13th July and play in 8 concerts before they finally fly home on the
23rd.  For many of these musicians this is the first time that they have
left their country and they are looking forward to the experience.  Likewise
we have the rare opportunity of experiencing their entertaining music.
Details of all the concerts are on the attached poster but try to make at
least the Grand Finale Concert with the Brook Concert Orchestra and Chorus
at the Britannia Theatre in Dickens World, Chatham n Sunday 22nd July from
7pm.  Tickets are just £10 (concessions £8) and are available from Ann and
Philip Livings - 01634 379139 or email them on aap@livings.eclipse.co.uk
They will also perform at the Navasartian Centre of 15 July at 19:30
