2014 Annual Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: 6-14 June 2014‏

The Primate’s Office of the Armenian Church of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland is happy to announce the organization of the “2014 Armenian Church Pilgrimage to the Holy Land”, Friday 6-Saturday 14 June, 2014. 


The programme of the Pilgrimage will include visits to Mount of OlivesGarden of GethsemaneTomb of the Virgin Mary,Armenian Patriarchate, Birthplace of St. John the Baptist (Ein Karem), Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), Holy SepulchreMount Zion, St. Peter’s Denial (Gallicantu), BethlehemChurch of Nativity, Armenian Convent in Bethlehem,Shepherds’ FieldsMount of Temptation, Dead Sea, River Jordan and Baptismal site (Qasr Al-Yehud), Mount TaborChurch of the Transfiguration, Cana: Wedding Church, Nazareth, Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Church of the Multiplication (Heptapegon, Tabgha), Tiberias, Haifa (Jaffa), the Armenian Church in Jaffa and other Armenian, Biblical and Christian sites as well as sailing in the Sea of Galilee and climbing to Mount of Temptation by a cable car. In addition to the above, there will be fellowship hours, sing-along gatherings, brief biblical reflections and prayer sessions. 

The cost of the Pilgrimage is: £1,200 for shared-room accommodations and £1,450 for private room. The amount covers the expenses for British Airways airfare, transfer to and from the airport in Israel, luxury hotels (Jerusalem and Nazareth), tour guide, breakfast every day and dinner every night, airconditioned bus transportation to all the pilgrimage sites and shrines, boat sail and cable-car ride. 

To secure your place in the 2014 Pilgrimage, for the price indicated above, please send your deposit of £500, payable to “The Armenian Church Trust UK” to The Primate’s Office, 25 Cheniston Gardens, Kensington, London W8 6TG. Your deposit must be received in thePrimate's Office by Thursday, 14 November. Pilgrims will receive booklets in advance, containing important information and contacts, explaining the history and significance of all the main sites to be visited as well as passages narrating the biblical events that took place in corresponding sites. An orientation session will be organised a month or so prior to the date of the Pilgrimage, which will be announced in advance.
