Did you know?  According to Jewish author Judith, King Tigran II’s army included chariots and 12,000 cavalrymen.  The Armenian king also had 120,000 infantrymen and 12,000 mounted archers. But the bulk of the army were the foot soldiers. Roman-Jewish historian Josephus talks of 580,000 men in total.
