WHAT ACGRC SAY ABOUT US ARMENIANS...READ MY THOUGHTS below - Could I be wrong?

Please read the article below before my comment...Thank you...        24th July 2014

I could not agree more with the first paragraph of the ACGRC's comments on the Armenian Foreign Policy Agenda for 2014 - 2015, but disagree completely with their second paragraph!

The thing is, Armenians carry the memory of a sad occurrence in their past which Turkey wants to wipe out of existence, and they can’t do that without trying to fundamentally change the history of both nations! But the Genocide is a fact - it happened and there is nothing that can change it!

The Armenian Genocide of 1915 is an inherited burden for subsequent generations of Turks who have not been taught about it in their schools, colleges and universities. Indeed Turkey does not recognise the Genocide of the Armenians in 1915. It is the centenary next year and who can blame them! Their guilt is so great that there is no other reason for their denial – their denial actually underpins their guilt! And there is no getting away from that fact! This is my belief because there is good in everyone, as indeed there is bad!

Armenians carry the pain of The Genocide, which caused untold horrors, even a century after it happened, The atrocities include the so called 'Deportations' out of their own lands and the deaths of loved ones, who perished without proper burial! The attempted obliteration of our Nation must be given due recognition in the hope that it will never happen again anywhere, which is not yet the case.

Turkey's lobbyists are backed by the dispensation of massive amounts of sweeteners to Governments, whose official attitudes are determined by their own agendas. How foolish this policy is because it only serves as a delaying tactic for the inevitable. Not taking responsibility of their past atrocities is making Turkey look foolish in the eyes of many Nations regardless of their position in world affairs.
More people who will support the recognition of the Genocide are needed in the organization mentioned in the first paragraph! That will resolve the issue!

Of course, it will be beneficial to have a voice in Europe! On the other hand it must be recognised that many would opt out tomorrow given the opportunity! Armenia has a long way to go to update its infrastructure, its policy on licensing for drivers, its building regulations and women’s rights, let alone human rights. The list goes on and on!
I have read somewhere that ‘When the Middle East problem is resolved, so will the issue of the Armenian Question'. One might question the connection between the two, but the answer may lie in Turkey’s unstated agenda,

We are all connected, and despite our deep differences we are all members of the human race! The only real physical difference is our colour, but that does not count anyway! It is merely an attribute inherited from where we live and passed down from one generation to the next.

It is animals which are different in form one from another! Nations, wake up! Smell the flowers – experience the real world we live in – explore and delight in the wonders of each continent and treat with reverence the gift we have been given of imbuing our children with a true image of the world – let us be thankful to our parents for doing so to us! Let us give respect selflessly, as we expect to receive from others! This is a hard mantra, but if everyone would follow it, it would become easy! We are all children of whatever created this world and therefore related to each other; whoever we may be and wherever we may live - we are indeed a part of the same extended family!

Armenian Foreign Policy Agenda for 2014-2015

July 10, 2014
acgrc_yerevanArmenia, which is a member to such international organizations as the UN, OSCE and CoE, needs to play a more active part in the activities of these organizations in their structural reforming, according to this analysis by the Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC).
“Armenian delegates in these organizations should revoke the practice of concentrating only on the issues regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and recognition of the Armenian genocide of 1915,” the analysis states.
“At the UN general assemblies, OSCE summits and CoE the Armenian representatives need to articulate the country’s position on a variety of issues, including the global climate change, new architecture of the European security, as well as the Middle East.”
The publication, which describes the major foreign policy challenges of Armenia and presents perspectives and policy recommendations for regional cooperation, was published with the support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
