Erdogan has truly embraced his Islamic roots and long since abandoned secularism. Here, he's pandering to the Saudis and his ideas of leading an Islamic State. Between this, Turkey's support of ISIS, and the continued pressure on non Muslims in Turkey, nobody should be fooled by them. They do not represent secularism, democracy, nor freedom.
