This is my Grandmother, Anik Arabian, she was born in Greece, where her parents had landed after being driven into the desert. Many of her family died, including her sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles, in what is now Syria, then a part of the Ottoman Empire. Her parents buried six of their kids with their bare hands. She was activiely involved in the the case against AXA and was a lead plaintiff. She had brought her uncle's life insurance policy with her to America and always said that we have to do everything to bring recognition to our pain, she died on 4/19/2003 and she was buried on April 24th, 88 years later.
