The Armenian Society of the London School of Economics is proud to present the first annual LSE Armenia Development Forum. This forum is dedicated to the exploration and discussion of the prospects for development in the Republic of Armenia. The goal of the event is to promote a better understanding of the region and to hear about the development opportunities for Armenia from experts in various fields.
The forum will take place this Friday, 19 March, at 6:30 pm at the Hong Kong Theatre on the LSE campus (http://www2.lse.ac.uk/mapsAndDirections/Home.aspx <http://www2.lse.ac.uk/mapsAndDirections/Home.aspx> ). The event is free and open to the public, students from all UK universities, as well as the wider development community in London --including members of the NGO sector, think tanks and government bodies.
We are thrilled to welcome the following panellists;
· Mr. Ruben Vardanian, Chairman and CEO of Troika Dialog Group
· Dr. Hratch Tchilingirian, Associate Director, Eurasia Programme, University of Cambridge Judge Business School
· Mr. Oskari Pentikainen, Senior Programme Officer, Eurasia Programme, International Alert
· Dr. Armine Ishkanian, lecturer in Social Policy at the Centre for Civil Society and the Programme Director of the MSc in NGOs and Development at LSE
The event will be chaired by Professor Eileen Barker, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the London School of Economics. The forum will be followed by a reception in the Senior Common Room at LSE.
We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event and please do not hesitate to contact Sona Abaryan, LSE Armenian Society event coordinator, at s.abaryan@lse.ac.uk <mailto:s.abaryan@lse.ac.uk> should you have any queries.
