Land Culture Organisation UK Announces 2010 Campaigns

Following the 2010 Land and Culture (LCO) AGM in Brussels in February 2010,

LCO are pleased to announce three campaigns this summer:

Sourp Astvatsatsin Church, Yeghvart village, Syunik Region

Since 2007, LCO has completed the urgent work of strengthening the windows

and the roof of the Church. In 2010, LCO and its volunteers will be working on the

strengthening of the walls, the pillars and the vault of the Church.

Tchitchkhanavank, Chiragamoud village, Spitak Region

In 2010, LCO will continue from the initial excavation work and begin work to

re-direct a stream currently alongside the Church towards the south to avoid any

erosion.

Kessab, Syria - Family and Friends Campaign

For the first time, LCO is offering an opportunity for families and friends to visit

and work in the beautiful and unique Armenian village of Kessab. The volunteer

work will concentrate on the restoration of traditional Armenian houses and

gardens.

5 July 2010 to 1 August - Yeghvart

2 August to 30 August 2010 - Yeghvart, Tchitchkhanavank, Kessab
