97th Anniversary Armenian Genocide Commemoration Events

Dear Friends,

Please join the Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee in commemorating the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide.

On Sunday, April 22, 2012, clergy from all Bay Area Armenian Churches will perform a requiem service at the Mt. Davidson Cross at 2:00 pm. The program will include a performance by students from Krouzian Zekarian Vasbouragan Armenian School, a keynote address by Raffi Momjian, Executive Director of the Genocide Education Project, and remarks by San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee. Mt. Davidson Cross is located at 125 Dalewood Way in San Francisco. There will be shuttle service available for elderly and disabled individuals from the street to the base of the cross.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the Bay Area Armenian American community will be commemorating the 97th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the Khatchaturian Center, Saroyan Hall at 7:30 pm. Khatchaturian Center, Saroyan Hall is located at 825 Brotherhood Way in San Francisco.
