Participate in the 2nd Annual Walk Against Genocide
Dear Friends,
Please join the Bay Area Armenian National Committee in the 2nd Annual Walk Against Genocide, that will take place on April 29th at noon at Lake Merritt in Oakland, and help our very own, Bay Area-based educational organization,The Genocide Education Project (GenEd), bring Armenian Genocide education into public schools. GenEd will be one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds collected during the walk..
Organized by the San Francisco Darfur Coalition, which includes the Bay Area ANC, the Walk Against Genocide is an opportunity for people in the Bay Area, Armenians and non-Armenians, to publicly show their united support for all victims of this crime against humanity. Participants will walk with survivors and descendants of the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, the Rwandan Genocide, the Darfur Genocide, and other genocides as well as hear their stories, and learn how awareness and effective action can prevent future such atrocities from taking place.
