ACYF MEMBERS DRENCHED IN “HOLY WATER”
Last Sunday, 7 July 2013, on the Feast of the Transfiguration (Vardavar), a group of the members of the Armenian Church Youth Fellowship (ACYF) gathered in the Vicarage to celebrate the Feast of Vardavarwith the traditional water splashing. The members first enjoyed watching the Wimbeldon Tennis final, rejoicing in Andy Murray’s victory. This was followed by a snack-break when a table was set up with finger food and drinks on a table next to the Vicarage garden. Then came in the water drenching game! Within a few minutes the ground of the church complex were covered with water leaving almost all present in wet clothes drenched from head to toe! Before, during, and following the games members of the ACYF sat around the table and were engaged in several discussions addressing various subjects of interest and concern to them. His Grace Bp Vahan was in and out during the afternoon and evening celebrations having to attend several other engagements on that day.For information about the ACYF’s forthcoming events and projectsplease contact the ACYF at: ACYF@armenianchurch.co.uk.
