Fellow Activists,
Today, Jul 25 2013 -- 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Mr. Nasimi Aghayev, Consul General of Azerbaijan will address an audience of Los Angelenos at the Levantine Cultural Center (5998 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90035, Between La Cienega & Fairfax, ample street parking).
TONIGHT'S TOPIC -- Azerbaijan: an Evening of Arts, Culture & Citizen Diplomacy
It's interesting to see what packs of lies the Azerbaijani Consul will pass on to unsuspecting audience members in West Los Angeles.
We need to be there and make our voices heard. And most importantly we should present questions regarding the pressing issues relating to:
- Azerbaijan's Dismal human rights record reflecting dictatorial President Ilham Aliyev and his regime's repressive behavior against own citizens;
- State-organized suppression of the identity of various minorities in Azerbaijan, such as Armenians, Lezgins, Iranians, Udis, Georgians (Ingiloys); Talyshs, Assyrians, Kurds, and Yezidis;
- Continued occupation of Armenian lands in Nakhitchevan, and Northern Artsakh's Shahumian region;
- Azerbaijan's belligerence against the self-determined population of Armenian Republic of Artsakh (Karabagh).
